Stoke Newington School's sixth-formers have plenty to celebrate this weekend, as Thursday's A Level results have shown a huge improvement on last year's grades.

A whopping 99% of students passed their A Levels at Stoke Newington's sixth form this year - a rise of 15% on 2010. And 55% scored a B grade or above; again, a huge improvement.

It's particularly nice to see these kind of achievements since Hackney's youth recieved such bad press after the recent rioting. It's a good reminder that there are two sides to the coin. And as an ex-Stokey student myself - from before the days of the sixth form - I'm really proud to see SNS still pushing things forward. Congrats to everyone who got their results on Thursday!
