Just ten days ago stokenewingtonpeople sung the praises of progressive theatre company Second Skin, who settled on Church Street this month. And already the group's current offering, La Chunga, has been snapped up by the West End, being invited to perform at The Phoenix Artist Club, off Charing Cross Road.

Let the curtain rise: Second Skin makes it big in the West End from a basement in Stoke Newington
Second Skin will remain as The Church Street Theatre indefinitely, as director Andy McQuade claims to feel very at home in Stoke Newington, but the production itself will be exported after its run at Ryan's ends, this weekend.
Plans for a montage of Edgar Allan Poe plays to take to the stage for the next run will go ahead, although the venue will change from Ryans to another local space, still to be confirmed. Stick with us for further details... and congratulations to The Church Street Theatre for their success so far!
