Great place - often drawn in here by the sweet yeasty smells wafting out in the early hours. Concur that smoked salmon & cream cheese is top class and I love the ladies who work in here -- no backchat tolerated from boozed up clientele. Only criticism -- they charge 15p for a slice of gherkin with your salt beef!!!

ReportWhat would we do without the bagel house at 3am!? It's good at all times, but normally the only time I would venture down that end of the High Street would be on my way home from a night in Hoxton and so I know it as the life saver of my early morning returns. The food is nice, fresh and very cheap. The staff are friendly and there's normally a bit of banter to be had. If you need food at unreasonable times then head here - it's much better than Macky D's or Kebab.
The smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel is immense although I wish they'd make them fresh so you could add lemon or black pepper etc. The veggie samosas are also very good and the staff are all friendly. Desserts look good too but I've never got one because I'm a bagel guy. Dirt cheap for good quality and at 3 in the morning it's much nicer th an a MacDonald's, even though it's harder to park nearby.
This is a 24 hour bagel place with really nice staff even though they have to put up with idiots at four in the morning. The only place to go if you want hot food at stupid o’clock. You can’t sit in to eat, but there is a breakfast bar type bit if you want to stand in. The prices have recently gone up but it’s still pretty cheap. Try the salt beef bagel!
