Hackney Council has submitted plans to develop Horizon School, a special needs secondary school in Stoke Newington. Despite concerns voiced by parents and residents alike it is determined to build a huge building complex in the midst of a small residential area. It has applied for an exemption of its obligation to conduct environmental reports, and is proposing to eliminate a dozen of mature trees and a green space.
