Get your free designer bags from Hackney markets to help promote sustainable living in 2012

Hackney Council have announced plans to introduce our very own 'designer' tote bags to celebrate market-culture and sustainable living in the borough.

Hackney Council are celebrating the borough's much-loved markets in 2012
The Council have comissioned four international artists, all working out of Hackney in 2012 to design limited edition cotton tote bags which will be given out at four of our local markets, in return for tokens to be earnt from stalls.
The first opportunity to get your hands on one of the pieces will be next week at Broadway Market, with other upcoming chances at Ridley Road, Chatsworth Market and Hoxton Street. A second batch will be available in September.
