Local organisation Drake Music has teamed up with Sound Connections to offer a superb chance to win one of five places on a music mentoring course.

The scheme offers disabled people (solo or as a group) between 15 and 30 years old, with a passion for playing, singing, composing or producing music the chance to work with an experienced musician for up to ten weeks.

As well as helping to improve abilities, the project aims to assist with networking, setting up gigs and other practical elements of being part of the music industry. This is not only open to those pursuing music as a career, but for anyone who sees it as an avenue for personal developlment too.

Drake Music is an East London based organisation specialising in making music more accessible to those with disabilities. They regularly work with schools, universities, software and hardware developers and other institutions to help make progress in this field.
