New Art Centre opens in Stoke Newington

The transformation of the old Turkish Delight Factory in Manor Road is sure to please Stoke Newington art lovers.
The independent arts centre Politi in Manor Road will open with a private showing of River today which includes painting, sculpture, film and photography.
The launch exhibition will boast a range of emerging local talent including photographer Tom Hunter, installation painter Kate Theodore and acrylic artist Charlie McFarley.
The exhibition will and then remain open to the public from 11am to 9am until Sunday February 14.
The centre will include rehearsal studios, gallery space, dance studios, a music recording studio and a new online radio station Reel Rebel Radio - who will take to the airwaves next week.
Other exhibiting artists include Agnes Mitchell, Phil Hale, Sam Haggerty, Joe Rush, Joe Schneider,Rachel Thomson, Maria Scarey, Dawn Craig
Yoav Ben Davi, Helen Savage, Peter Santi, Rachel Kenyon, Margaret O'Connor.

A bit of culture for Stokey! I'd have liked to have seen the Turkish Delight factory re-opened though. A highly undrer rated confectionary in my opinion!
