Great place to pick up all the essentials plus a few toys and other fun accessories for cats, dogs, hamsters, fish and other small pets. The staff are friendly, prices aren't too high for an independent, and you can meet their own menagerie including two extremely friendly cats who keep watch at the till. Parker's also run an engraving service so you can get your pets' nametags customised for a small fee. Lovely shop!

Established, friendly pet shop on the High Street
This place has been going forever! It's totally changed its layout, for the better, in the last few years, and now there's more space to walk around. They have a decent selection of live fish in the back of the shop, but mainly they sell supplies: food, treats, bedding, accessories, that kind of thing. You're allowed to bring your pet in with you which makes life so much easier as you can run in when you're walking the dog and grab a pig's ear, as we did yesterday. The staff are polite and helpful and the place is clean and doesn't smell like rank animals like most pet shops do. Long may Parkers thrive.
