Ended up having a couple of beers at this pub after attending a gig at The Drop downstairs. The bar pulls a decent pint, and the design of the place gives it a nice cosy atmosphere with candlelit tables and bar lamps adding to a dark but completely unintimidating feel. An ideal place if you fancy either a quiet drink, or starting a night out with friends in the area.

i like pubs with comfy sofas and chairs, low tables and thoughtful lihgting. this place has it all, and a great location right on the corner of high street and church street so you can't miss it. keeping the age limit and prices up has kept it feeling quite nice and secluded, good fun after a few drinks else where and just want a night cap, not far to wlk to the bus stop after all! not my regular but nice bar.
My granddad used to own this pub a long time ago and it was considered the best pub in Stokey. Massive place which should be a stand out pub on Church Street. It then became Bar Lorca which was a bit of a dive, but the current owners have got rid of that reputation. Now, it is over 21s only so there’s much less trouble but the crowd is generally in their late 20s and 30s. It’s quite pricey for a local boozer, both for food and drink, but if you’re looking for a swankier place to hang out then it’s worth it. There are a lot of staff so you will be served even when it’s busy. The bouncers are cool and not aggressive. Overall it’s a good place to go if you want to chill out in the day or dance at night.

ReportIt's huge, but has that key ability to stay inviting and almost cosy despite its massive potential to empty and sterile. It's owned by the same people who have the Lion up the road and in both they've managed to get a nice range of drinks and some good music. The staff are good, and the clientele tends to be people in their late 20s/early 30s so there aren't as many brawls and cringe-worthy drunks as there used to be when it was Bar Lorca. I've heard good things about the food though I've never tried it myself. The cocktails however, I have dedicated special time to sampling and for a normal pub they arent bad at all!
This place is so inviting with the candlelit tables. I stepped inside on a very cold night and it was instantly a hit with me and my friends. It's really relaxed and has a great atmosphere. It's a great place to meet friends for a quick drink - even on a Monday night

ReportStepping off the high street into the Three Crowns is almost like entering a different world. The blinds are down, everything is lit by candles, there's acres of space and each table in its own dim pool of candlelight seems distant from anything else. If I was in the habit of going on first dates I would definitely go on all of them here, it's a lovely spot that on a Tuesday night seemed, amazingly, almost empty.
