Food above music. As it should be.

Unless you are a fasting pianist. Then i guess its music above food. The bar below is quality, and this is a really cosy Italian restaurant. Food was really good (i'm going through a hardcore fish phase) and the staff are really friendly. Just don't sit too close to the door as there is a naughty draft. Thought the bloke behing me was blowing on the nape of my neck....

    Trattoria La Luigi

We love this place and have lost count of the number of visits we have made. The atmosphere is great and we love the Rumanian Lady who runs things - she is so lovely and helpful. One Sunday afternoon when the Church Street cafes were completely full, we called in to Luigi's and they were more than happy to serve us just a cappuccino. The food has always been good, but for me it's not the most important factor!

Trattoria de Luigi on Church Street

This is a nice place, and gets three stars as being average for Stokey, not generally. There's an open fire and the staff are nice, red and white table cloths, very tradition feel. But the draft from the door made it quite uncomfortable to stay. They do a great choice of seafood - yummy sardines. I had pasta with clams which tasted too strongly of wine for my liking, but was made with good ingredients and served up as the right sized portion. There's a nice bar below too.
