After months of prevarication about how much it was going to cost and how difficult it would be to organise, we finally went down to Pelican Flooring to look at vinyl for my son’s room. The range was good, the chap friendly and helpful and soon we’d ordered not only the vinyl but the hardboard and laying service all for a fantastically reasonable price. We paid the deposit, cleared the room and on the day the two guys came and did the business. Not only were they really cheerful and efficient, they also cleared up after themselves (it’s often not the case, I find). And the end result is just tickety-boo – luvly! I’d recommend them thoroughly.

I was really impressed with this place. I'd been looking for a piece of vinyl to cover a desktop and no one had anything. I called these guys up and popped in the next day to get something. He remembered who I was and what I wanted from the telephone call and sold me just what I was after for a really good price, as it was just a small remnant which he couldn't really put to use. He gave us the blades and guided me through how to cut it safely and without messing up (it's harder than it looks, believe me!). I would recommend Pelican over any of the bigger hardware/flooring places around, where they seem to give their staff frontal labotomies before they put them in charge of what they call 'customer service'. Show 'em how it's done, Pelican!
