Nominate a child for a Hackney Sport Award

The achievements of Hackney’s young sporting stars will be recognised at the borough’s annual Youth Sports Awards on Wednesday November 3.

The Hackney Youth Sports Awards 2010 will take place at the Hackney Empire, and the Council wants you to nominate your local sports people.

The Awards recognise the achievements of the borough’s sporting talent who have participated at local, county or national levels in various events over the past year. There will also be awards for volunteering, services to sport and coach of the year.

With nominations in eight different categories, you can highlight an individual or group/team for any of the following awards:

• Mayor’s Awards for Services for Sport

• Inclusion Award

• Young Volunteer of the Year

• Coach of the Year

• Team of the Year (under 11)

• Team of the Year (under 18)

• Sports Personality of the Year for any person under the age of 13

• And finally Sports Personality of the Year for any male or female under the age of 21.
